2023 Mini Gates and Mini Torps
The Calgary Renegades and Calgary Torpedoes are very excited to announce our Mini Gades and Mini Torps 2023 programs. This opportunity is open to aspiring young athletes who are part of the local community clubs in the Calgary and surrounding region, AND athletes who are new to the sport of water polo and want to see what it is all about. Athletes will be introduced to what it means to be and train like a Renegade and Torpedoe athlete in a high performance environment. They will get to know current athletes, coaches, and alumni while participating in a number of monthly training and information sessions.
All sessions take place at the MNP Community and Sport Centre in downtown Calgary.
Session Dates:
Monday, January 30th
Monday, February 27th
Monday, March 20th
Monday, April 3rd
Monday, May 8th
Session Times:
All MINI GADES sessions will run from 7:00-8:30pm.
All MINI TORPS sessions will run from 6:30- 8:00pm.
Age Cut Off:
Athletes born in 2014 or earlier. We recommend that athletes are comfortable in deep water and can swim at least 2 lengths of the pool. Athletes will be grouped by ability during these sessions.
Registration:
Please complete the Mini Gades or Mini Torps registration through the link below. When registering please use the same RAMP account information you use with your community club. If you are a new water polo family please create a new account. You will need to select “Athlete Member-No provincial league” as the division.

Cost: Free Registration – Athletes participating in these training session must be actively registered in the RAMP database through the link above and pay the membership insurance. If you are currently registered with a community club you have already paid this insurance fee and it will transfer over. Further information will be emailed out to all registrants prior to each session.
