PUPS FEST – 1520 Northmount Drive NW

All our 10U athletes are invited to participate in this fun event with other Calgary water polo clubs. This is a great opportunity for our 10U’s of all swim abilities to scrimmage and play games with other athletes. Teams will be created based on swim ability, and the games will be run in a festival style, with fun play an emphasis on participation.

Date: Saturday, Dec 2nd, 2023
Time: 3:30 – 5:00pm (entry time to building no earlier than 3:15)
Location: Sir Winston Churchill Pool – 1520 Northmount Drive NW, Calgary AB, T2L 0G6

This facility is small, so please be respectful of space and limit spectator attendance.

Facility Rules:

Photographs: Parents or club photographers are allowed to take photos of their children as long as:

• There are no objections from other clubs attending the event
• They do not capture any City of Calgary staff members
• They do not interfere with the lifeguards
• They do not interfere with the flow of the festival in any way
• They remain seated in designated areas at all times
• If it is found that the photographer is not able to meet the above requirements, they will be asked to put their camera away for the duration of the event.

Food:

• No food allowed on deck
• No glass water bottles – plastic is ok

We will be allowed in the building at 3:15pm. Every athlete and coach must be accounted for by
the attendance takers, who will be in the lobby area.

It is a small facility with minimal deck area, so we need to let public swim end before we inundate the facility.

Spectators will be limited to designated areas. The Lifeguards are the ultimate bosses and are very accommodating at this particular facility, so we do want to be very respectful of their concerns for safety and the goodwill they have shown the water polo community for several years now.
Note * Athletes must be out of the pool promptly at 5:00pm and the change rooms and lobby area must be cleared ASAP
